STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
There is such a great need for quality Christian education. Education is so vitally important in the life of a child. It is not only our goal to teach children the principles of education such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and readiness skills, but also to teach the children about Jesus Christ and His love, helping to build their relationship with Him through daily Bible lessons and prayer.
It is the objective of Faith Christian Academy to do God’s will in educating, caring, and providing for children in a Christ-like manner.
STATEMENT OF POLICY
It is the policy of Faith Christian Academy not to discriminate on the basis of sex, age, or national origin in its educational programs, admissions, employment, or other activities.
Faith Christian Academy is distinctly Pentecostal; however, those of the non-Pentecostal persuasion are welcome and in no way will they be pressured to deviate from the particular doctrines of their local church. Click here for more information on our beliefs.
ADMISSIONS
Any child from Kindergarten (birthdate by October 16th of that academic year) and up, is a candidate for enrollment at Faith Christian Academy.
The following steps need to be taken to enroll your child:
1. Request an application and complete the necessary information.
2. Submit the application to the school office with the registration fee of $100, the student’s social security number, a copy of the student’s birth certificate, the student’s immunization record, and any additional information that may assist the office such as grades and student achievement scores. (The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The only exception is if the child is not accepted into the program due to lack of space or any other reason deemed necessary by the administration.)
By February 1, parents of currently enrolled students will receive a re-enrollment packet which will include a form to be returned to the office, a copy of the current financial policy, and the tuition rates for the upcoming year. Re-enrollment for current students begins on February 1; enrollment for new students is by February 15.
ACADEMICS
The elementary program is designed to develop the learning and study skills necessary for all subject areas, including daily instruction in the Bible. The reading program uses phonics with comprehension and stresses reading for enjoyment as well as information. Language, spelling reading, math, science, and social studies, and Bible are all taught in the elementary grades and guided by the A Beka Curriculum. Elementary music, PE, art, computer, and Spanish are also vital parts of the curriculum. The elementary program is designed for the average or above average student. Tutoring may be necessary throughout the year at the discretion of the faculty. This will be done after school and will require the cooperation of the parent.
